[[!meta title="Some VNC links"]]

As a sort-of followup to my [remote X11
Emacs](http://spw.sdf.org/blog/tech/emacs/remotex11.html) post, here's
some links about VNCs. I often get excited about remote desktops\[1\] but
they're basically irrelevant to me because I'm on a laptop without an
Internet connection often enough.

Here's an HTML5 VNC
client---[readme](https://github.com/kanaka/noVNC#readme),
[screenshots](http://kanaka.github.com/noVNC/screenshots.html).

I believe there are Java applets for VNC too as well as this HTML5.

\[1\] An example of this is my jealousy of the SRCF at Cambridge, with its
[remote desktop service](http://www.srcf.ucam.org/desktop).
